This notice describes what Dungeon Helper 5 and its official plugins collect, and what they send over the network.
1. What we collect
Dungeon Helper collects no information about you, your computer or your accounts. It sends no usage statistics and no game data. The one exception is the optional Collector plugin, described below.
Information about your computer, your accounts and the game may appear in log files on your own computer. Logs are not sent to us. They exist so you can troubleshoot, and you choose whether to share them when asking for help.
2. What goes over the network
Dungeon Helper connects to the internet to:
- check for updates to Dungeon Helper and download them (
downloads.dungeonhelper.com); - check your installed plugins’ update feeds and download updates you choose to install;
- download Dungeon Helper’s list of withdrawn plugin authorizations.
If you connect an AI assistant, the knowledge server downloads DDO game data from mcp.dungeonhelper.com.
Your assistant’s own privacy terms apply to what you type into it.
These requests carry nothing about you beyond what any web request does (such as your IP address, which our hosting provider may log).
3. Plugins with online features
- Mapster downloads community map data for the area you’re in from
data.dungeonhelper.com. It sends nothing about you or your character. You can turn this off in Mapster’s settings. - Collector is an optional plugin that doesn’t come with the installer; installing it is your choice
to contribute to the community map data. While it’s toggled on, it sends what you encounter in the game
world (chests and their loot tables, bosses and named NPCs, traps, levers, shrines, collectibles, explorer
points) and the results of quests you finish (difficulty, duration, experience and bonuses, kill and trap
counts) to
collect.dungeonhelper.com. With it goes a random ID that Collector creates for itself, so repeat sightings aren’t double-counted, and the Collector and game client versions. It doesn’t send your account, your characters’ names or IDs, or your server. Sightings are merged into shared map data that isn’t linked to your account or characters. Toggle it off or remove it to stop. More about Collector. - Fred uploads a build only when you press Share build. Your character’s name and internal ID are removed first, but the page title you choose is published as written. Shared pages can be read by anyone with the link and stay up until you delete them.
Other plugins are the responsibility of their authors.
4. Your DDO account
Because Dungeon Helper runs inside the game, account and character identifiers pass through it on your own computer. Your username and password never do. None of this is sent to us.
5. Sharing
We have no personal information, so we have none to share.
